5′ 3½″ Tall Visionary with a Firecracker Personality.

A California native who's living abroad in Budapest, I am an award-winning brand and innovation strategist. A trend and innovation junkie, my passion is the marriage of business strategy and design. My ability to effortlessly create connections and identify strategic tensions has led me to unprecedented success in revitalizing heritage brands and creating new brands for both giant corporations and startups. You know that tiny brand called Budweiser? I was part of reason why all the “cool kids” were proudly wearing Budweiser t-shirts, #sorrynotsorry.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM ME?

Sunshine mixed with a little bit of hurricane. I'm unconventional, provocative, and honest. I never back down from a challenge and always deliver clear and concise solutions strategically grounded in timeless human truths.

If you want the expected and the conventional, I’m not for you.

We lecture and train brands day in and day out that to be compelling they have to have an inspiring reason for being—a ‘Why’ as Simon Sinek would like to say.

However, us branding / advertising / design / marketing agencies rarely apply what we preach to ourselves. The tired, overused ‘Why’ we tell ourselves and others is “we exist to create great work”.

What defines “great work”…?

For Comet Chaser, it’s work that has meaningful cultural impact. That moves the needle for a better, brighter future by existing. I believe that brands have the power to change consumer behavior, what they aspire and reach for—and if we do an exceptionally good job, we have the power to change the world.

At Comet Chaser, awards don’t mean shit (though they are nice 🙃). It’s the agencies with big award budgets (it’s an average of $800 a pop to submit your work just to be considered) and people with huge egos that need outside validation. “Great work” is something you know and feel when you birth it into the world and it changes how our society functions in some way.

How do we get to “great work”…?

By having the best talent on our team.

How do we get the best talent on our team*?

By ripping every stale, turnkey agency model apart and meticulously and purposefully reinventing each and every element. We’ve all been there—every agency or company feels the same. You’re trading your current job for another job with different window dressing, but not far below the surface is the same old unforgiving machine that takes their employees and squeezes as much of their soul as they can in exchange for a paycheck and the promise of creating “great, award winning work”. In the words of Yvon Chourinard, “trying to make the best product also inspires us to create the best child-care center and the best production department and to be the best at our jobs.”

Eventually (hopefully in the not so distinct future), I want to create the agency every strategist / creative / client services / producer / finance / IT / receptionist / janitor / etc. wants to work for. Because let’s be honest, the only thing that separates this agency from that agency is the talent and I want to have the very best. I look forward to the day when I get to update all the “I”s above to “we”s.

*The team is currently only moi, however I have a small network of trusted partners (like my sister agency Casa Gato), designers, product developers, social / marketing agencies, etc. because I’m a picky bitch with high standards.
